Friday, May 15

Rutherford County Farmer’s Market

(7 a.m. – 12 p.m. @ Lane Agri-Park, 315 John R. Rice Blvd.)

The Rutherford Co. Farmers’ Market provides an outlet for local farmers to sell fresh, home-grown produce, while maximizing the availability of local agricultural products to the community. (We accept credit, debit, and EBT payments!)

 

Friday Night Cruise-In

(5-9 p.m. @ Belk)

Come check out the awesome rides from the Murfreesboro Hot Rod Club!
 

Michael’s FREE Make-It Take-It

(6 – 8 p.m.)

Stop by and make a duck tape wallet for your dad. This event is for ages 3 and up! For more information, please contact the store at 896-6432.
 

Saturday, May 16

Main Street Saturday Market

(8 a.m. – 12 noon @ Downtown Square)

Come out to the west side of the Murfreesboro Courthouse for veggies, flowers, plants, herbs, baked goods, organics, eggs and more!

 

International Folk Fest

(8:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. @ Downtown Square)

Come see dancers and musicians from around the world as they perform for us! You’ll get to see, and possibly learn, dances from the Czech Republic, Puerto Rico, Belgium and Austria.

 

Murfreesboro’s Bird Club Hike

(9-10 a.m. @ Nickajack Wetlands)

Join us for our monthly walk as we search together for spring migrants and resident birds of Tennessee. Murfreesboro’s Bird Club welcomes all levels of experience, and we encourage anyone who is interested in birds or bird behavior to join us! Please bring your own binoculars if you have them. We have a few to lend out on a first-come, first-served basis.

Home Depot Workshop | Install A Ceiling Fan

(10 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.)

Identify steps of installing a ceiling fan, learn the proper installation techniques for a braced fan box and light switch, and properly wire a light kit, fan and switch!

 

Farmer Jason in Concert

(1-2 p.m. @ Barfield Crescent Park)

Farmer Jason is the family music character by Americana legend and 30-year entertainment idustry veteran Jason Ringenberg. Farmer Jason’s music is a hybrid of folk, Americana, and high energy rock ‘n roll!  The songs teach subtle lessons about ecology, farm life, animals, and nature appreciation.
