Rutherford County Farmer’s Market

(7 a.m. – 12 p.m. @ Lane Agri-Park, 315 John R. Rice Blvd.)

The Rutherford Co. Farmers’ Market provides an outlet for local farmers to sell fresh, home-grown produce, while maximizing the availability of local agricultural products to the community. (We accept credit, debit, and EBT payments!

Scenic Tennessee Photo Contest Winners on Display

(10 a.m. – 3 p.m. @ Heritage Center – 225 West College Street)

The goals of this year’s contest were to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War; to broaden and deepen understanding of the war and its significance; and to help tell Tennessee’s full Civil War story by capturing its military, homefront, occupation and emancipation landscapes. The winning photographs of the 2011-2012 “Living Legacies: Capturing the Scenic Beauty of Tennessee’s Civil War Heritage” Photo Contest co-sponsored by Scenic Tennessee and the Tennessee Civil War National Heritage Area will be on display Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. through September 2012.

Main Street Saturday Market

(8 a.m. – 12 noon @ Downtown Square)

Come out to the west side of the Murfreesboro Courthouse for veggies, flowers, plants, herbs, baked goods, organics, eggs and more!

Lowe’s Build and Grow Clinic

(10 a.m. – 11 a.m.)

Shrek and Donkey are flying into Lowe’s this week! Bring your child to Lowe’s and they can build Shrek’s Dragon Ride! Each participant receives a free apron, goggles, a project themed patch, and a certification of merit upon completion of their project. This clinic is free but you need to sign-up in advance. You can do so by registering here or by calling the Murfreesboro store at 278-9364.
