If you’ve driven down Murfreesboro’s historic square, you’ve likely seen Boro Town Cakes. They’ve been in Murfreesboro since 2011, but in April of 2013, new owner Lisa took the reigns. The menu has stayed the same but Lisa’s introducing her touch by adding a few healthier options as well as gluten and sugar-free items to the menu!
With their grand re-opening, Boro Town Cakes has done a bit of re-decorating and even added a splash of color to the walls. It’s so warm and inviting and you’re going to love hanging out here!
Whether your bring a book to read on your lunch break, or a friend for brunch or breakfast, you’ll be able to sit inside at their cozy tables or outside while enjoying the beautiful weather! And, if you’re not able to stop in, Boro Town Cakes can deliver your order for you (as long as you’re within walking distance of their store)!
When I stopped in for my visit to Boro Town Cakes I couldn’t decide which of their sandwiches to order. So, I tried half pimento cheese and half chicken salad. Yummo! Their lunch combos come with chips or pasta salad, pickle and a drink! (You’ll also want to check out their fruit tea!)
Being the deal seeker that I am, I was excited to learn that they offer a combo card. After your tenth combo purchase you’ll receive one combo FREE! They also offer a fabulous discount for our military, police and fire fighters – to thank you for your service, receive a combo at the price of a sandwich!
And, of course, you can’t stop by Boro Town Cakes without getting one of their fabulous desserts! They’re best known for their No Bake Cookies, Red Velvet Brownies, and Peanut Butter Cookies! I had the Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookie. It was super moist and I found a chocolate chip in every bite. Boy, it’s a good thing I only ordered one because it was so delicious that I could have kept munching away!
Whether you have allergy or diet restrictions, Boro Town Cakes has you covered with their gluten and sugar-free options. You’ll find Chocolate Puffs, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Vanilla Puffs and pies, just to name a few options!
Believe it or not, Boro Town Cakes is most known for their yummy breakfast, lunch and treat options, but I have a feeling that’s about to change! I’m excited to share that they also offer made to order cakes and cupcakes! Whether you’re planning a birthday, anniversary or any number of special occasions or parties, you’ll want to give Lisa and her team a call to create that special cake or cupcakes just for you! Check out more of their fabulous creations at their Facebook page!
